Money Money Money, the root of all money

They say opportunity knocks once so grab it.

It is still fresh in our mind the story of a village watchman who won the 356 million pesos lotto jackpot last year.  Though his personal identity was not publicly known for his personal security.  I know his story because he worked as a village watchman next to our village. Larry his co-worker who doubles himself as a sales agent came to my house and asked if I was selling my pick up.  Only recently Larry sold my old pick up that he earned some commission, And as he kept on coming back he related to me the story of John - not his real name, his co-worker as a village security guard.
That day their mission order was to stop the intrusion of squatters into the village via the unfixed old fence. John acted as the head  of the group because he was known to be more diplomatic than the rests .  That day ended just like all ordinary days for him.  He went home at about 9:30 pm.  But as he got near the house he heard a wild pandemonium.  Everyone was shouting even their neighbors, and as he entered the house he was embraced by everybody. "tama tayo! tama tayo! we won! we won!" thus the wild uproar.  The following day the house was empty.  After about three weeks they came back to the house with many relatives, friends and all his co-workers.  Yes everyone receives their generous 'balato' share of John's winnings  He invested much of his new-found wealth in various real estate properties.
But believe it or not, after six months, yes six months it was like lightning struck John twice. He won again in  lotto.  But this time only 200,000. pesos, and you might ask how much ticket he bought? hybbb one million pesos.
One day John visited their village office when he talked to Larry.  Astounded Larry told John.  You betted one million pesos! money I cannot dream of in my lifetime as a village watchman.  "But I still won 200,000. pesos. John countered.  John, my friend in gambling winning is as rare as finding a white crow.  It is not always that you have all the Aces and the best cards in your hand you should also learn how to stop and go home  So "pare ko - my friend next time you bet another one million, think and listen as your money will talk as it get out of your pocket and most probably the last word it will say is goodbye. And by that time you will remember all of us here the village security guards. Yes you might say opportunity knock only once  so you have to grab.  Grabbing more than needed you can even lose what you have grabbed.
