Same sex marriage in the Philippines, hoity toity?

If the state of New York in the USA has already recently approved a state legislation allowing same sex marriage, in the Philippines same sex marriage has already been going on since 1992. Pastor C.G. Agbayani of the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) has admitted in a local radio interview that he had already administered over two hundred fifty same sex marriage rites in their church since 1992. MCC is a Christian Church although non denominational, meaning not under the control of any sectarian church or denomination. MCC is also a bible-based organization that accept only Jesus Christ as the Center of their prayers an woships. Though they have some saints like St Joan of Arc, a lisbian as they claimed. In the beginning said Pastor Agbayani they only administer same sex marriage rites to church members but recently they had accepted non-members provided they attended at least four consecutive regular religious worships and prayers. For ordinary wedding ceremonies the minimu expense is five thousand pesos. MCC has no official count of their total membership but Pastor Agbayani said their members are only about a few hundred at least in Metro Manila and other nearby provinces and that their church started in the United States. MCC is only one among several Gays-Lisbian-Bisexual- Transgender (GLBT)organizations rallying aggressive support in pushing for special legislation in Congress authorizing same sex marriage. By now pastor Agbayani said their athority is only from their church based on the Philippine Constitution Act on religious freedom.
