Ex president Corazon Aquino's standard of right and wrong questioned?

President Corazon Aquino, the icon of democracy:Well, I believed so. And there is no argument on such pronouncement. Majority of Pinoys believed so. And that is why they elected her only son Noynoy to be their  president at present.  She is considered among the modern heroes in a democracy, in the Philippines and the world.  Like all other heroes Pres. Cory was just as human and not truly perfect in her ways.
Former US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenny, in her most recent message said of her:" Former president Corazon Aquino was only the partial icon of morality," meaning her standard of moral is partisan and clannish.  "The late Cory aquino's credibility as a moral crusader was tarnished when she was seen joining the protest movement of the disgraced Joseph Estrada against then President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo even if she was one of the supporters of GMA to replace Erap Estrada during Edsa 2" added the former US Ambassador. That her hot blood against Ex, President GMA started when then President Arroyo moved to distribute Hacienda Luisita to the legal workers under the Agrarian Reform Law.
Everyone knows Hacienda Luisita is owned by the Cojuangco Clan that the late presisent is a member and part-owner. " Even if her moral leadership came at the time the Philippines needed it most  was not enough to compensate her weak leadership." narrated Ms Kenny.   Even when President Cory's term had long ended  her anger toward GMA did not end  and this led her to ally dubious political figures like Erap Estrada, thus blemishing her reputation as a moral crusader, according to Ms Kenny.
Anyway, one has to choose to be an icon of democracy or crusader of morality.  Why? Can one not have both? Would anyone dare to suggest, comment? tnx.
