CRIME and Hudas not pay

In my country, still a third world country, the jeepneys are still the major mode of transport.  Any commuter, including foreigners must have observed in the left and right side of the drivers windshield hang laminated cards with the  writings "God knows Hudas not pay".  Unlike riding in buses where the conductor collects the fares,  the jeepney driver while driving also act as the conductor to collect fares.  Hudas is Judas Iscarriot the betrayer of Jesus.  The jeepney driver seemed to invoke on the old saying, "A man who wants something for nothing is a Christian".  I am not that man and I don't like the   old saying because I pay my fare honestly.  And once my young boy said, " Papa is it not that crime does not pay?"  "Yes son" I answered.  But what I had inside me I did not tell him, that honesty pays but most of the time not sufficient.  That crime does not pay is a tired cliche that may seemed outmoded  because crime this days is unarguably big if not the biggest business not only  in America and the Philippines but anywhere in the world.
Come on, pay your bills, your loans and you taxes but if by any means you cannot, thank God you are not the creditor.  If you disagree please leave a comment.
