Noynoy presumed God in his side in his fight against Corona
President Noynoy invoke God is in his side in his fight against Chief Justice Corona.
Over 80 million Pinoys are Christians. I see no wrong in invoking God in whatever you do. In the present situation Noynoy seemed trapped in very controversial issues, human as he is when he undertook a pledge during his election campaign to jail all officials of the past administration for their misdeeds and abuses. Where are these controversies? As the one task to execute and implement the laws, he ordered fast justice to put behind bars all the corrupt officials in the shortest time possible (in GMA case before Christmas). Hard and flimsy evidences were gathered, put together, mixed up and in a few days cases were created and or manufactured and filed in court and voila in just few hours an arrest order was issued.
Faster than sound? Maybe yes and with the truth in the saying, "If there is a will there is a way." All he wanted and ordered were done even before he finished talking. Fast indeed. A situation even an ordinary lawyer, true to his job may find violations of due process.
The ugly face..
The next thing he wanted done is to remove what to him is the 'ugliest' face in the Supreme Court. And the way things are currently going it would seem it could be an uphill battle for him because the 'ugly' man will not run away without a fight. Using the lingo of the boxing world the fight might go 12 rounds and even beyond.
In all the things he is doing he invoke God is in his side. Invoking the heavens intervention in all he is doing would border between luck and superstition.
What is luck? Luck is an unknown phenomenon that does not exist. And superstition is believing even on slight evidence that is based not on reason but more on spirit beings, thereby might be translating human orders to be divine command. In such situation, we are indeed living in a very dangerous world. Towards anarchy, armed intervention and dictatorship, again..
