Pacquiao- Marquez fight No shock value

Happy were those who did not expect much more from the fight, they were not disappointed.  In the Philippines Pinoy audience are known hard to please.  It is prevalent among many Pinoys to be not easily gratified.  Be it in arts, sports in sharing or even in the kitchen Pinoys are hard to satisfy.  If one is a little observant, in birthdays and wedding parties or even in "eat- all you-can" resto, he will  choose a big bowl or plate  and fill it with all the foods he can see but only finish a little of them  while leaving the rest to the waste can.  If this is not a bad habit particularly those of the less learned.  Then again happy are those who expect nothing they will not be disappointed.
Anyway, let me go back to the Pacquiao-Marquez fight yesterday.  Filipinos, if not the world seemed not impressed of the Pacman's performance.  No shock value. Pinoys if not the world were expecting much more, even much more than the Pacman's previous fights when he finished the opponents in just few rounds mostly via knock outs.  Many of those who avail themselves of the pay-per-view rights expressed discontent. "It was heavy- footed nearly monotonous performance," they said.  Pinoys, and I am one of them let us be reminded that in this kind of sports one is only as good as his opponent.
I admire the Pacman's comment. "Boxing is not an easy job you have to train for many years and practice for many months before a fight and when you are up the ring you will be beaten black an blue. If not for the pay, at least for me it is as well a thankless job.
