In my country there are thousands and thousands of laborers and factory workers who work like Sisyphus. Day in day out they do repetitive jobs like typing on a keyboard, operating a sewing machine, lifting heavy loads in grains warehouses and by the end of the day get a meager salary just enough to make body and soul standing.
Let us see what Moamar's Lolo Ampong has to say to them "To all of you who toil so hard to make a living and make both ends meet, be reminded you are not Sisyphus. Sisyphus' work was his punishment for his defiance of his god. He had no choice so he does his work forever. But your job now is your own choice. You once said this is better than no work at all. My advise to you is try hard to think about the tittle-tattle of Sisyphus and the housefly. Yes, the lowly household pest with very tiny brain cells, yet very fast reflexes. Observe a housefly on your glass window when it tries to escape. As you come nearer it will push the glass window in every direction so it can move out. Then you decide to get a fly swat and find that before you can swat it hopped in directions you will not know. So if you truly feel your job make you sick and unhappy, move out and try another." Lolo Ampong narrated.
Then as you get out of that job do not think of it as a failure. Ok, you might say this time I failed but try hard to think that failure is just temporary as success is not permanent. Failure is mother of all success, and failure is the only way to succeed.
Again, the housefly, bow.
