In the flea market in our village, (rest assured) you will not find a flea but the ever -present housefly and the surveilling Bombay loan sharks waiting for potential loan seekers. My friend said, " I know you have extra money 'which in truth I do not have' why not invest your money in that 5/6 kind of investment by offering a little lower interest? But my other friend, a retired bank employee advise me, "That is not good investment specially at this time when cash is hard and inflation is high. The best way to double your money is to fold it twice and put it in you pocket."
Anyway, why a flea market? This flea market phrase was originally coined in France in the days of old Europe. There was a place in France where a then very popular market that had more fleas than the ever-present housefly. In this flea market much more people were coming to buy than the bigger an cleaner markets because goods were sold at very low prices even if presumed not clean.
In my country, today's market investors avoid the word flea that is why we called it "talipapa or tianggi"
