The Tagalog dictionary has only about 30,000 words

The English dictionary has more than one million words in its entries.
It is unfair to compare the Tagalog dictionary that has only about 30,000 words.  I like to use English because one simple thing can be explained in so many words and still arrived at same desired meaning.  Today I read for the first time the word diffident in the Daily Inquirer. I admit I am not good in English. Just trying hard. So I looked at the word diffident in the dictionary, Funk& Wagnalls entered: afflicted with self- distrust; timid; shy; doubtful. While Merriam Websters said: hesitant to speak through lack of self-confidence; distrustful; unassertive.
Anyway, what I am trying to drive at is Wikileaks, the online whistle blower  as sent by Kristy Kenny now US ambassador to Thailand.  Diffident was her assessment  of President Aquino.  Right or wrong it is not for me to tell.  But Pnoy  is seen digging more on what has been done  in the past and chose to forget what remains to be done.  Are all these because he is distrustful, unassertive and not self-confident? just asking. Lest I maybe accused of criticizing  a working president.
