The Senate Majority Floor Leader Vicente Sotto detonated his theatrical bomb yesterday at the Senate. All Sen. Sotto wants is to portray himself as not the mischievous IskulBukol variety that he once was. Some of his supporters say he might find it hard to disconnect himself from Eat Bulaga, a progeny of the once popular TV sitcom Iskul Bukol which brought him fortune and fame for decades. At the Senate floor he wants to be heard and seen as not the mischievous student and comedian but as the true to his heart graduate of Harvard University in Boston and the reverend oppositor of the Reproductive Health Bill. (Be reminded that the Philippines is the only country in the world without the Family Planning or Reproductive Health Law.)
Will his Harvard theatrical punch line bring him to where he wants to be or what he really is as far as the RH bill is concerned?
Anyway, what if the rumors are true that some groups, those in favor of the RH Bill are campaigning for the boycott of Eat Bulaga?
Will the boycott make his vaudeville fame more fun? lets wait and see.
