I read with interest the story of Wilfredo Torres, the outrageous if not notorious leader of big land squatting and land-grabbing syndicate in the newspapers. The report said Torres had claimed ownership of various prime real estate properties in the National Capital Region particularly Metro Manila. In some of his claims he had successfully acquired land titles which enabled him to eventually sell for profit to unsuspecting buyers, while others are merely rented out also for profit. But as complaints multiplied from buyers and lessee, he now faced numerous cases in many courts of law that the government is currently monitoring.
With Wilfredo Torres land-grabbing and squatting escapade, I remember the story of the 'ticks and the fleas' arguing unashamedly, with the presence of the owner as to who owned the dog they lived. As the ticks argued it is their home, the fleas shouted back it is where they got their food. And as their argument became heated the hind-limb of the dog scrubbed them vigorously - which ended their argument. Now who owns the dog?
Secret.
never heard of the ticks and the fleas story. good one.
