Inflicting punishment to the perceived criminals makes me sick

Inflicting punishment to the perceived criminal is as sad and hurtful to the inflictor as to the one punished.
All parents knew this.  When we spank our 5-year old kid for his misdeeds with our bare hand we also feel the same pain as our child.
A government may not feel the same, since it is not human.
How about the one who run that government?  He is as human as that little 5-year old kid.  When the government denied GMA to stay in her own home with the family during this Christmas and instead forced her to stay in a detention room devoid of merry-making during this holidays seasons, it is the peak of hard-heartednes, vindictiveness, malice and hatered.

Is P-noy feeling the same?  No. maybe not because he has no kid and he is not a family man.

A season's reminder  GMA is still not a convict.
Lest we may forget, punishment cruelly and excessively inflicted may demean the real meaning of justice.
Let us pray that all the thousands perceived criminals languishing in various jails even without trials for crimes still to be proven may feel some relief for the hurt inflicted on them- this Christmas. Amen.
