Is Gloria Macapagal Arroyo really bad, evil?

   This writer does not believe  so. Truly she has committed many sins and may even be jailed if proven by a competent court.  But GMA is brave and a strong woman despite her physical size.   She is the only Philippine president since the 1960s who is brave enough to impose more taxes 'E VAT' on her people even at the expense of her popularity ratings.  All previous presidents increase taxes only on tobaco and alcohol and other minor business activities.   Yet the present leadership  considered her acts as demonic, over-taxing the people. But the goverment now collects more taxes and is reducing its budget deficits and most of all the country's credit ratings had already been upgraded by many international rating agencies.  GMA  is a strong woman  though small in size.  She wholeheartedly said on radio and TV I am sorry, an apology broadcast worlwide.  Be reminded again of the sayings "A woman is taught to apologize for her srength but the man is  taught to apologized for his weaknes'
    By now GMA is on the side of the losers.   President Aquino is on the side of the winners.  There is no doubt nor argument on that.  Yet being the loser does not necessarily mean failure.  One has to be reminded again of the grand universal gameplan that in any contest be it in politics or any other, one has to win and the other to lose.  Every one wants to win.  But acceptedly many Pinoys also loved underdogs they even cheered them pamper them specially if winning some other time becomes probable.  It is without doubt clear that losers or failures as in success is not forever.  As Michael Jordan of the famed NBA said  'I failed many, many times over that is why I succeed.
