White House - barak obama

This post was written before the November 4 election when my computer was down during that time, the reason I published late. Destiney have it, Barak Obama will be 44th President of the United States of America. The first black American in history to enter and reside in the White House. Americans do not want to call him black American but the African American to tone down the racist term. Be that as it may, Barak Obama will be the President to lead the United States of America, if not the World, the next four years and beyond. The world economy is in the brink, and or is currently in a recession, but with the United States of America, where the Financial meltdown all began, now united in President Obama, the expectation is high that the next four years will be the transition towards renewed economic vigor and market stability not only in the US but the world. On the lighter side. There is no truth to the rumor that President Obama once in the White House, upon proddings from his supporters will repaint the White House according to the color choice of their leader. But anyway why is the White House white? We Pinoys think that white is the color of all American presidents. Since the beginning, over a hundred years ago the US presidency was the monopoly of the Whites. Truly many Americans and even the world think this is so. Yet this is not the real answer to the question, Why is the White House white? In the beginning, the year 1798, the capitol building was given a coat of white wash to protect the locally quarried sandstones from deteriorating specially during the winter months. From then on even the exterior of the building was painted white. During the British-American war 1812 the British army burned the building scorching a huge portion of the edefice. After the war the building was immediately repainted white. Still no answer ? The real answer is it was President Theodore Roosevelt in 1901 who issued the Executive Order officially dessignating the building as the White House. #Mel tittle-tattle bla bla
